Tillsonburg Police Services Board RE: By -Law 3216 - To Authorize the Entering into of an Agreement for Policing Services - OPP (6:00 p.m. Delegation) Presented By: Inspector Jack Goodlett and Chair Bryce Sibbick, PSB Inspector Goodlett and Mr. Bryce Sibbick, Chair of the Tillsonburg Police Services Board, appeared before Council to address any questions that Council may have with respect to By -Law 3216. Escalator clauses and PSU credits were among the topics discussed. With respect to PSU credits, Deputy Mayor Smith suggested that Council look very seriously, during budget discussions, at setting a portion of the PSU credits aside in case Tillsonburg is faced with a misfortune at some time. NOTICE OF MOTION introduced by Councillor Stephenson at Council Meeting of September 11, 2006: Councillor Stephenson discussed the proposed Notice of Motion, and the following Resolution was passed: No. 7 Moved by Councillor Stephenson Seconded by Councillor Lewis AND RESOLVED THAT staff bring forward a policy to allow the purchase of used vehicles for the Corporation. NOTICE OF MOTION introduced by Councillor Stephenson this date The following motion as introduced by Councillor Stephenson was DEFEATED for consideration by Council this date. RESOLVED THAT staff be directed to bring forward a Pesticide By -Law for first and second reading on October 10, 2006, that would ban the use of Pesticides by January 2008. Although the proposed motion was defeated for consideration this date, procedure does permit Councillor Stephenson to introduce this as a Notice of Motion and bring the motion forward for consideration at the next regular Council Meeting, being October 10, 2006. RESOLUTIONS 16. "Carried" ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST As a result of Councillor Renaud's comments, the following direction was given. DIRECTION: Direction was given that Tillsonburg Hydro Inc. be encouraged to share their successes through some sort of media. As a result of third reading of By -Law 3191 - To authorize a Community Improvement Plan, the following resolution was passed. No. 9 Moved by Councillor Lewis Seconded by Deputy Mayor Smith AND RESOLVED THAT staff be directed to utilize available resources to provide appropriate marketing materials to enhance the delivery of By -Law 3191. "Carried" 9 CLOSED MEETING SESSION CONTINUED No. 10 Moved by Councillor Patenaude Seconded by Councillor Renaud AND RESOLVED THAT, in accordance with the Town of Tillsonburg Procedural By -Law 2978, the curfew of 10:30 p.m. be extended for the Council Meeting of September 25, 2006.
