ASSET MANAGEMENT
1.2007 Asset Manaaement Proiects D
Presented By: Directors
• Review and discussion of Asset Management continued from the Special Council
Meeting of April 10, 2007.
• The Director of Community Services provided additional background information
regarding the flagged items from the 2007 Asset Management Projects.
• The Occupational Health and Safety Act is requiring the air quality improvements be
addressed.
• Discussion was held regarding the under floor heating at the Community Centre. (00�
• Overall there are other projects that will be debentured in order that we can stay
within the budget.
• Councilor Lewis noted that funds necessary to do this comes out of asset
management program first and he suggests that if other projects come in under
budget then they be applied toward this and secondly that the funds come from
reserves.
• Purchase of combined fire pumper and rescue truck -flag this item as to whether we
will proceed with this project next year but will develop specifications this year in
order to move ahead to the first of next year.

Seconded by Councilor Chris Rosehart AND RESOLVED THAT the 2007 Capital Budget Priorities by
Department report be received and FURTHER that the list of capital projects contained therein as
amended by adopted, subject to the following items being brought before council, specifically, before
purchasing such items:
1) Air quality improvements at the Fire Hall
2) Air quality improvements in the Public Works Building
3) Mechanic pit and shop area
4) Pumper Truck and Fire Rescue Truck Purchase
