PRESENTATIONS Volunteer of the Month Award: Presentation to Winston Fung Winston is a resident of Tillsonburg, He has volunteered extensively at the local hospital delivering food, visiting and encouraging, and assisted at the local library and at various events including the home and rec show, He is a member of the chinese canadian national council, member of the grad council at Glendale High School Invited Winston to the special presentation on the 26th of May. Application for Condominium Approval and Exemption from Draft Approval - Permterra Development Coruoration (Report 2008-6§) n -- Presented Presented By: Mr. Paul Michiels, County of Oxford Planning Department Resolution > PROPOSED RESOLUTION: Moved by Councillor Lewis Seconded by: Councillor Beres AND RESOLVED THAT Tillsonburg Town Council advise Oxford County Council (or their designate) that the Town supports the approval of application 32CDM-08001, submitted by Permterra Development Corporation, for approval of a plan of condominium relating to plans prepared by Kim Husted Surveying Ltd., for lands described as Block 40, Registered Plan 41 M-232, in the Town of Tillsonburg; AND FURTHER THAT Tillsonburg Town Council advise Oxford County Council (or their designate) that the Town supports the approval of application File No. 32CDM-08001 for Page 2 /98h1 MINUTES: Meeting for the Committee "Open Council" exemption from draft plan of condominium for lands described as Block 40, Registered Plan 41 M-232, in the Town of Tillsonburg, as all matters relating to the development have been addressed through Site Plan Approval and an associated Site Plan Agreement. Councillor Lamb - requested clarification of what the common ownership was. Barth Street. pdf Staff Report 02007-17, dated May 9, 2007 RE: 62 North Street East Drainage Review... toll� 62 North Street East Drainage Review Report May 9 2007.doc Loretta Howey presented pictures of the pond behind their house and requested that the pond be dug deeper to carry the flow of water that is currently flowing towards their homes. The water level was three feet lower previously, she gave pictures to demonstrate how shallow it currently is and the depth it used to be. Questioned a news paper article in which water was pumped out of the front yard or a residence on North St by the fire depprtment and they have not had the same service. Staff to look into the matter. The delegates were at council previously (last year) and was told there would be a meeting to discuss the issue with the neighbours. Would like this done by the end of June or will have to apply for a municipal drain. D Morris has a summary of whats transpired in the last month which involved both engineering and Building department, they both indicated that the silt needs to be removed, this would require permission from the owner of the property as well as some ditching work. The Howey's have concurred with Mr. Allisons suggestion to redirect the drainage off the roof to the front of the house. FI 2008-014 Tillsonburg Police Services Board Scholarship Request Presented By: Director of Finance Resolution Moved by: Councillor Stephenson Seconded by: Councillor Rosehart AND RESOLVED THAT Report FI 2008-014 dated April 17, 2008 relating to the Tillsonburg Police Services Board scholarship request be received as information. AND FURTHER that Council directs the Director of Finance to advise the Board: • that Council supports the creation of this scholarship through the Police Departments budget; • that council direct an additional $15000 from general reserves to provide opportunity for a $30,000 bursary fund; • that the Board should create the necessary scholarship parameters and guidelines; • that the scholarship should be administered locally by the Board. • and the above items be ratified in agreement by the town.
