6. General Business & Reports
6.1. Heritage Listings Update
Museum Curator will have the Heritage Listings proofread and corrected for
the next meeting in September. The listings will need some minor additions to
the information i.e. street addresses, pictures, proper names etc.
Curator will also look into adding some GPS locations and property lot
information. Preserving as much of Tillsonburg’s history as possible will be
beneficial to the Town. The main goal is to get properties designated.
Chair noted that there are quite a few interesting architectural homes in town
that should also be considered for designation.
Liaison advised Members that Chair of Tillsonburg 150 Ad Hoc Committee
will be in attendance next meeting in September to give an overview of the
Tillsonburg 150 Event.

Please see attached Schedule of Events.
Summary: The Tillsonburg 150 Event was a success. Record numbers of people
turned out for all of the activities. There were over 900 pancake portions sold during the
Pancake Breakfast. The Opening Ceremony was overflowing with crowds. There was a
record number of spectators at the Flag Raising Event. The Harvard Fly-Over was timed
perfectly. The Annandale Fun Fair and 150th Birthday Party was such a success that
staff lost count at 1000+ people. The Lions Tulip Tree Dedication was also a wonderful
success despite the rain. News broadcasters were in attendance to film the Dedication.
The Memorial Park Events were also a massive success. The Magician was
spectacular. The inflatables were perfect. The children all had a blast. There were so
many smiling faces. The Reptile Show was well attended. The Lions Club BBQ was so
successful that they ran out of food. They had 300 hotdogs, 300 hamburgers, water and
pop available. The outdoor concert featuring Whiskey Jack was attended by spectators
of all ages. Word has it that the fireworks were the most spectacular ever.
Thankfully the weather co-operated, for the most part!
